Faith-Based Counseling

Start Recovery Today.

Relying on your faith in difficult times is important, especially when mental health or addiction concerns arise. Knowing you are not alone and that you can rely on God’s strength on your path to healing brings comfort along the way. Christian counseling treats the whole person – mind, body and spirit – and combines Christian principles and scripture with evidence-based treatment.

Because faith and spirituality are important to you, we offer the option of faith-based mental health and addiction treatment for people of all denominations and belief systems at our Dallas, TX-area facilities.

What is the Faith-Based Program?

Our spiritual counseling program is based on growing in relationship with Christ, while transforming behaviors with the help of biblical principles and evidence-based treatment. Our Christian counseling program teaches that God is in control and nothing is impossible, including managing mental health and addiction issues.

What We Treat in our Faith-Based Program

Our faith-based program is designed to treat a full range of behavioral health concerns such as:

What You Can Expect in the Faith-Based Program

Our Christian rehab and Christian therapy program is available in inpatient and outpatient settings. Patients come together in community both to share experiences and lend support to others in group sessions, with opportunities for individual and family therapy. Our Christian therapists use tools like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy techniques, and rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) to replace self-defeating beliefs and behaviors.

Inpatient Treatment

Patients with more severe symptoms, such as thoughts of self-harm, harm to others, or medical concerns related to substance use, are treated in an inpatient setting. Our highly-qualified, licensed medical team offers around-the clock care, including medically-assisted detox and medication management. Along with the faith-based curriculum, other holistic therapies include relaxation techniques, yoga, art therapy and music therapy.

Outpatient Treatment

Based on your level of stability, you may begin treatment in an outpatient program or you may step down from inpatient care to continue your path to wellness. In either case, your treatment will include one of two faith-based outpatient programs.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers outpatient services on a day or evening schedule. Typically, this program meets five to six days a week. You’ll have opportunities to enjoy our beautiful grounds and take part in holistic activities like yoga, music, and art.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets for a minimum of nine hours per week. This program offers medication management, skill development, and long-term recovery planning.

Before you complete the faith-based program, we’ll make sure that any ongoing treatment you need is aligned with your aftercare provider.
