Outpatient Mental Health Treatment in Dallas, TX

Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) in Dallas, TX

Our behavioral health professionals may recommend our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) as the best plan of care for your mental health or addiction concerns based on the results or your initial consultation and assessment. PHP is also an important next step for those who have completed inpatient treatment for mental health stabilization or substance use detoxification and no longer require 24-hour medical or safety monitoring. Medication management, evidence-based therapy, and holistic therapies are important elements of the program as part of your journey to better health.

What We Treat

PHP addresses a wide range of mental health and addiction concerns and, among other issues, the program is effective in treating:

  • Stress
  • Trauma
  • Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Depression disorders
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Borderline personality disorder
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Drug or alcohol abuse or addiction
  • Mental health symptoms accompanied by substance use

What to Expect

Guided by compassionate, Master’s level, licensed clinicians, PHP provides the opportunity for those ages 11+ to identify and overcome negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, while building coping strategies for a healthier future.

The foundation of PHP is structured, evidence based psychotherapy in a small group format. This setting is proven to be most effective in helping you gain greater self-awareness, learn and practice healthy behaviors, and interact with others in a healing environment. Clinicians use a variety of therapeutic methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Among other things, patient-focused group topics may include:

  • Self-care
  • Coping skills and stress management
  • Emotional regulation
  • Relapse prevention and triggers
  • Family and relationship dynamics
  • Grief and loss
  • Social anxiety
  • Conflict resolution
  • Self-esteem and self-worth

The program also features holistic activities to encourage relaxation and mindfulness, such as yoga, art, music, recreational, or pet therapy. In addition, your therapist may recommend individual and family counseling in order to meet your personal treatment goals. Licensed medical providers oversee medication management when necessary which, when combined with therapy, can play an important role in symptom control and greater well-being.

Groups meets daily for approximately two to four weeks, and PHP may be followed by a transition to our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as your healing journey continues. When treatment goals have been met, our clinical team works with you to schedule follow-up care with trusted community health providers to maintain progress and continue recovery.

How to Start

Identifying the most effective care for your needs is as important as the decision to seek treatment. Your path to better wellness begins with a confidential assessment to discuss your physical, mental, social and emotional health history. Assessments may be scheduled by calling, walking in, or through our website. Whether your assessment is conducted in person or online, our licensed, compassionate behavioral health professionals, in consultation with the medical staff, will recommend and thoroughly discuss a personal treatment plan that’s right for you, which may include our Partial Hospitalization Program. Local resources will be recommended if your needs are best served by a community healthcare provider.

Asking for help with a mental health or substance use issue takes courage, but you can be confident that, with proper care and ongoing treatment, you can live a healthier and happier life – the life you deserve.
